In 2013 Gren Cropper sent us a copy of this photograph which he had found in his late aunt's possessions. On the back of the picture of the cookery class was written Pipewood Camp August 1946 (Cottesmore School Trip). Included in the photograph was his sister, Margaret Freda Cropper, who can be seen third from the right. The Cropper family lived on Manton Crescent on the Lenton Abbey Estate. Margaret was to marry at the age of twenty and hence became Margaret Freda Redgate. Sadly she died of a brain tumour in January 1955 when she was just twenty one years of age.
