The McLean/Grundy Family

This gravestone bearing names of the McLean & Grundy families. It bears the name of Thomas McLean was taken for an article entitled 'Tommy Surefoot of Notts County F.C.' that appeared in Lenton Times Issue No.16.

A horizontal portion of stonework on this grave (not shown in the photograph) carries the following inscription: and Donald Grundy McLean younger son of Thomas & Annie Mclean died Feb. 17th 1939 aged 45 years.

He served his Country gallantly in The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) and The King's Royal Rifles during the Great War 1914-18.
