The junction of Greenfield Street and Beeston Road as it looked in 2016 before the the most recent changes to the cycle route which feeds into it from City Road.

Now in 2017 the stretch of Greenfield Street and City Road has been made one way with no access to it from Beeston Road. This is to offer cyclists greater protection as they turn into the cycle path on Beeston Road.

Moving along Greenfield Street, away from its junction with Beeston Road, in this 2005 photograph, you get a glimpse of the empty site on the left which will subsequently be filled by the new building shown in the next photograph.

This new detached house was erected in the bottom half of the garden of the property fronting on to Beeston Road.

Although the protruding metal beam might suggest this property once had a distant 'commercial' history this is not the case. The current occupants had the beam inserted when the attic space was converted into a mini-dance studio. The beam with a hoist attached provided an easier way of getting furniture extra into the new room rather than take up the internal staircase.

At the far end of Greenfield Street close to its junction with Highfield Road a former garden has now been given over to this new property.

Turning round and looking back towards the Junction with Beeston Road this is a view of Greenfield Street taken in 2005.
